Note: The U1N is built in the UK to the same specification as the U1 built in Japan with one exception: The U1N has a Bavarian-spruce soundboard, and the U1 (Japan) has an Alaskan-spruce soundboard. Neither are superior to the other, but the tone is very slightly different. The Alaskan soundboard produces a smoother tone, and the Bavarian soundboard has more attack with more emphasis on 'mid' range frequencies.
Therefore, we recommend the P121nt as a much better buy than the U1N, as this piano is also built in the UK to exactly the same standard, with the Bavarian-spruce soundboard, in a slightly different style cabinet. Equal quality, components and performance - at a much lower price!
