The 'baby' of the Conservatoire series with all the craftsmanship and attention to detail of the 7'6" semi-concert C7M, in a compact 5'3" case.
If you cannot accommodate the C2M 5'8" (which is only a few hundred pounds more) then the Yamaha C1M is the best choice for build, component and performance quality for this size.
The Yamaha C1M's middle register is nice and rounded with a clear and melodic treble.
The touch of all 'C' series Conservatoire Grands is superb, with good balance and control.
These Yamaha C series grand pianos can outperform many of the often more expensive new or reconditioned German instruments which may lack such precision engineering and modern design.
