Whilst compact, budget upright pianos represent good value in terms of being low in price, we feel that in a matter of a few years, a beginner will quickly find the need for more control (touch), better expressive range and a more inspiring tone. These qualities are not found in short upright pianos, but in models of at least 116cm.

The Brodmann CE118 traditional upright piano is a huge upgrade. A taller piano can be a very affordable investment in a superior instrument that is more pleasing to play, is more likely to sustain interest and reward progression.
